Specific Communities

  • 1 Organisation

Groups designing music-making specifically around one community's needs and identity, rather than music education broadly. Covers refugees and asylum seekers, people experiencing homelessness, disabled ensembles, prison populations, and overseas programmes, using music as a route to belonging, confidence and social connection within that particular group.

Uses singing and opera to help people who are or have been homeless rebuild confidence, performing alongside professional musicians in staged productions.
